Grafting of the exposed root surfaces can be achieved under circumstances utilizing a procedure called a connective tissue graft.  Details regarding the limitations and expectations of the procedure will be reviewed with the patient before this is undertaken.  It provides an excellent tool to enhance the esthetics as well as reduce the risk of future sensitivity and enhancing the long-term prognosis of the tooth.
